Well I'm sad to say after owning this flashlight for 21 years, I left the batteries in it for too long and they melted on the inside, and they are forever fused inside. It's been with me through so much, I still can't throw it away! Did just order a new one though.I love this flashlight. It's not the brightest out there with all the new high lumen led options available but it's def one of the toughest. It's almost impossible to lose because of it's size, batteries last forever, and it can double as a weapon. Just a great light to own and of the highest quality.

The bat is made of sold plastic resin and has a good solid weight/heft to it without being too heavy. The finish is smooth with a faux wood grain texture/pattern on the surface and there no burrs or imperfections at all. It is pricey for a plastic bat, but it is solid plastic and very dense. I bought this for home defense and it is perfect for my needs. I picture this lasting me for quite a long time.

I'll start this by saying I was disappointed that this did not come with the maglite solitare shown in the pictures.That out of the way this flashlight is great. Not for the brightness, but for the size and durability.This uses an old xenon bulb and is dim to say the least. You can swap it out with a 10 buck led bulb on amazon easily. The only issue I've found with most is you lose the ability to switch between flood and spotlight.I bought this because I knew this and would like to use one of them fancy 5000 lumen bulbs they got on here.All in all aside from the missing mini light this was was decent bargain. These are getting harder to come by these days. Super durable and really bright with the right bulb.FYI, There is a spare bulb in spring in the cap end.
