I would suggest ensuring younger kids under 5-6 yrs to be watched carefully so they don't run in front of the pitching machine and can also react quickly is the ball is coming towards their body. This is a toy that gets a lot of attention especially during small family gatherings

He was super bummed so I went online to return it but our return window was over. So as a last ditch effort I emailed customer care & they sent us a whole new machine! The balls that come with it have some soft spots so can make the machine a little unpredictable but with the other balls, it has more accuracy.I love the fact that when there are no more balls in the chute, it stops the machine. So the battery doesn't get drained if my toddler chooses to turn it on.The first ball pitched is always going to be short as the machine warms up. So we have a bag of balls and keep loading them so we dont waste a ball every time it warms up.

For the price...I was not expecting much. But I am impressed. This machine pitches the balls well from about 40 feet away. It only takes a ball or 2 to get it lined up correctly. We use a rubber home plate so my grandsons know where to stand.We have used it lots of times these past 7 pandemic months and it still operates fine. Batteries are lasting too.The only warning I have is... unless you use this on a large open field, expect to buy lots more balls. They will disappear quickly into trees, bushes and neighbors' yards.

My kids (7 & 9) are brand new to baseball this year and I felt like we were a bit behind. I bought this to help them with their batting and it has been fantastic. While the accuracy definitely varies a little bit, it certainly does the trick. Helps teach them to watch for balls and strikes as well instead of just swinging at everything. I use a piece of patio blocking underneath it for stability on the grass. I don't recommend using it on windy days as the wind will definitely catch your balls and send them sailing in the wrong direction, haha. I'd buy this again and again. I even have fun hitting with it. Great purchase. Highly recommend if your kiddos are looking for some extra batting practice at home.
