It's the right height. My bigger dogs aren't able to jump over it. The little pet opening is ideal for my Shih-tzu and easy to close when he needs to be blocked from an area. Not as sturdy as I had envisioned, but sturdy enough that my big dogs can't move it or push it over. The fact that it has to be screwed into a wall surface or door frame adds that extra level of comfort, for me. The pedestrian gate is easy to use, as well - easy to open and close and to secure. Great price too!!!!

I bought two of these gates to keep a new puppy confined to the family room. I’m pleasantly surprised by how sturdy they are. For now, I just have them free standing in front of both huge entryways into the room. My hope is that the puppy will be trained before he gets big enough to try to knock them down on his own, so I’m not planning to use wall attachments at this time. They are very substantial and with bends in them for upright sturdiness, barely even wiggle when opening the walk through gates, which are a must. They have not moved at all.....Kind of pricey but totally worth the piece of mind with the puppy training!

Nice quality to hold back my little babies. It is sturdy but easy to change or remove the panels as needed. The sections are also easy to bend and move as needed. My 65 lb. daughter was even sitting on the "barricade" railing and it was not bowing or wiggly. The color is very easy to go with most homes. Ive tried plenty of gates to hold back my beautiful 100+ lb. dobermans and this is the highest quality that looks wonderful and is strong. The joints seem very durable and best of all it was manufactured in MN just 20 min from my home. The only thing i would consider changing is opening accessibility. The path opening is a bit slender and the locking mechanism is not very easy to do with one hand. However, my smart dogs that can open doors and push thru gates cannot open this gate.

Because the two opposite walls in our case were not parallel, I had to fashion four wooden pieces on which to secure the pet gate. This is NOT a failing of the gate’s design, but it was the only practical way to install the gate in our particular circumstance. I recommend the gate.

Wonderful gate with extensions! My two German Shepherds can't jump over it unlike the other gates. We do have a problem with it swaying just a bit but it's very sturdy and will not come undone from the wall. I highly recommend this gate to anyone who has large dogs and needs a wide gate.

I needed to keep my dogs out of the dining room, which I use as a workout area. The opening is really large as it doesn’t have a door just a large opening into the living room. This is great For that and also very tall.

This covered my 6ft opening perfectly and is tall enough to keep my dalmation from jumping. Sturdy and I can do the latch with one hand which is nice when I am carrying something in the other.
