Egg Pod Microwave Egg Cooker

I was surprised by the reviews. I bought it because the reviews weren't that bad. Mine is dishwasher safe, I just took it apart the way it said, although the first time I just rinsed it off, cuz its basically clean. I cooked it in the microwave, cooled it before I took it out. The ran the cold water over it for a bit, put the top on and shook it. PERFECT!! The eggshells peeled right off and I had 4 perfect hard boiled eggs! Wish it cooked more, but this does what it says it will do if u follow the directions! I love mine and it is worth it cuz I hate peeling eggs!

So I placed four eggs right from the fridge and into the pod, with the prescribed amount of water from the provided cup (50 ml). Locked the lid onto the base and placed it into the microwave on max for 9 minutes. Then let it cool for 2 minutes, and finally let cold water from the tap run over the eggs for 2 more minutes. Then with water still in the pod, put the lid back on and shook up and down vigorously 10 times. All this in accordance with the provided instructions.

Rhus egg pod works perfect. It hard boils eggs and the shell literally falls off if you follow the instructions. Eggs from the grocery store work better then fresh eggs. I am very pleased with this product!!!

Love this little gadget. Makes the best eggs. We have soft boiled, hard boiled, medium boiled. Such a great way to make eggs in the shell. So easy to use and clean. Timing varies with microwave power but as soon as you figure out the setting for what type of boil you are looking for...amazing.

OMG! I can't believe how easy the eggpid is to use. I will never use the traditional way of hardboiled eggs ever again. This eggpod is the best . 9 minutes to cook 4 eggs then 2 minutes to cool after that take cover off and run cold water over eggs for two minutes. Last put cover back on and shake the pid vigorously 10-15 times. And walla the eggshells are basically falling off on there own . No more pain in the ass egg shells to peel or membrane to take off... Best little pod ever!!!!

My husband had a stroke and lost the use of his left hand, so peeling eggs is impossible for him. We hoped this would solve that problem, but it does not since you need both hands to shake the Egg Pod at least 10 times to crack the shells after cooking. I shoke it 12 times and still had to work at peeling the eggs to get them started, but I have a gimpy elbow and may not have been as vigorous about it. The eggs do peel very nicely, however. We also cook at 10 minutes, not 9 as the directions state, for a fully cooked egg. For cleaning, the aluminum insert pops out on the top half the the Egg Pod, but not the bottom half. This would be a great item for college students living in a dorm or if you travel in an RV. But, again, it cooks eggs perfectly, so it was worth our purchase.

It worked very well. The thing I liked most is it was way better peeling the shell after using the pod. Boiling eggs was ok but peeling was always rough and much of the white stuck to the shell. Not so with the pod. Only problem I had was trying to use it the first time after taking it apart for washing. I forgot some parts and it did not work well. In fact it popped open and made a mess. Make sure to pay attention when you take it apart and how it has to fit back together. Otherwise it works great.

I have been looking at this product for some time and after yet another disastrous batch of eggs that did not want to peel I took a chance. Wish I would have bought it sooner! The instructions say to start with 9 minutes but after a little trial and error I find 7:30 minutes is perfect for me. Easy to use and after 10 or 12 uses I have yet to have an egg not peel perfectly! If you like "hard boiled" eggs as much as I do I highly recommend you get this product.

Quick and easy to use, the only issue is running the water over the cooked eggs to cool them down. Lots of water going down the drain, must be a creative way to safe some of the water for plants. Wondering if just soaking the container of eggs in a deep pot would work? Looking forward to using it again soon.
