Paint Thickness Gauge

I bought this product to verify whether a panel had been repainted before polishing. I didn't want to do a test spot on an area and think I was good to go with a certain pads and compound/polish, then run into a complete different section, like thinking you have all hard clear coat, then burn right through a soft section. This product did spot on what I needed it to, and I'll definitely consider the brand when I need better accuracy.

I needed to redo my cabinets and was pretty nervous but this made it much less of a hassle. It takes a bit to get used to but once you've got the motion down, you'll move quickly. The film keeps the paint from flaking when it dries which is really nice. Make sure that you buy an extra roll of tape to tape the sides and bottoms!

The 1st one i ordered didn't work, I contacted the company and they immediately sent me out another one (that works).. with all electronics, there can be hiccups, but the customer support was top notch... and that makes up for the inconvenience!!

I love it!!! This is the best paint meter i have ever had, super precise , tested it on my car and it worked perfectly, you get a great tool to know that you buy a car thats safe to drive and it hasnt been in a milliok accidents. Safety 1st!!

For the money it works great, I detail my own cars and some neighbors and find the tool really useful especially when it comes to use compounds and waxes. Since now a days paint thickness on newer cars is less and less. Very happy with the unit and already paid for itself

Great value and great price. Follow instructions and it will work great. If you are shopping for a used car this tool is helping a lot. Pays for itself immediately. You can spot previous body repairs that the owner may not even know about. You can choose to walk away from the car and look for another one or try to lower the price.

Great paint thickness check! Works great! Great product. It does the job! For detailing and if you are purchasing a vehicle you can see if it there's bondo or if you can go deeper sanding the paint.

From a variety of thickness meters, I opted for the blend of durability and better efficiency. Have no regrets about it! The gauge operates without a failure. So you know what? If I had my druthers, I'd definitely buy this model again.
