Use your Orthoflexics Back Stretcher to stretch and relieve back pain due to tight muscles, excessive flexion, and poor spinal alignment. Incorporate it into your daily routine to achieve maximum results.
Step 1. Assembly
Lay the base and support arch on a secured mat, rug, or carpet with the wide ends closets to you. Secure the wide end of the base against your knees. Slide the wide end of the support arch into the single slot on the wide end of the base. Press down with your thumbs and gently slide the narrow end of the support arch into the level 1 position on the base.
Step 2. Place the base on a flat surface with the broadest end closest to you.
The wide end of the unit should be positioned close to the base of your spine so that the support arch supports the lumbar region of your back. Try to center your spine in the slot designed to cradle your spine and provide extra comfort.
Step 3. Simple stretch position, relax as much as possible and breathe normally.
This position provides a minor stretch and is the easiest to do when starting. (Tip) Raise your arms over your head and shoulders and rest them as close to the floor as you can for an additional stretch. Roll onto your side and the back support. Sit up gradually and rest for 30 seconds before standing.
Tips:
1. You may need a pillow beneath your head when lying down for added comfort.
2. For beginners or those sensitive to massage points, please be slow when lying down and sitting up, and please consider adding a towel or soft cloth on the lumbar plate to avoid direct contact and cause waist injury.
