The outer metal ring is a nice improvement over the plastic design from the previous versions. The improved range is also a plus because now I can find my items multiple rooms away. I would highly suggest using these upgraded tiles if you are looking to track items, in my case I placed the tracker under the seat of my bike.

I am far more satisfied with this unit than I ever thought I could be. I picked it up and moved it around a little bit while it was doing its initial charging and that was all the movement it needed to access the satellites and start transmitting its position. The position both in the app and on the website are accurate down to the exact parking spot the vehicle is parked in. I was able to position the unit inside the vehicle, not blocked by any metal, and aimed out a large window, so reception has been perfect. I can not comment on customer service or product support because I haven't needed any, although I was contacted immediately after purchase and told how to contact them if I had any questions. I also can't comment on battery life because I bought the hardware kit. I was so happy with the first one I bought that I immediately bought a second one, and plan to buy at least two more.

5 Star because nobody reads 2-4 stars and I want you to read this. There is a monumental, major, paramount flaw with this tracker: The usb charging rubber cover is totally removable. I mean, it is not attached by a safety strap or rubber connection. So every time you charge it, the tiny "waterproof" rubber plug is completely detached form the device. That is really dumb. Of course you are gong to lose it, and then the tracker charging and battery are exposed.

I like that you can use the satellite to see a good visual. The battery power is really good. What I don't like is that if you want real time you have to pay more. I chose the subscription that has a 3 min lag but it's okay because at least I can see track and know. I would suggest that the company update the satellite view because while it shows movement and visuals certain areas are not up to date.
