Looks like it would work with a cast or fairly substantial bandage. I have what is called a "black splint," and I quickly found that the splint is simply too large a device to get the "sock" over. It works over the bandaging I have, with splint off. The elasticity of the material is very good, and allows multiple uses. I'm not sure how many yet, but one sock will work for a week of showers if care is taken putting it on and taking it off.

I use it with the shower chair and it works fine. It can be improved if there is a non-slip bottom. Also, if you have larger feet, you have to be careful with how you wear your shoes. If you put it "to one side" your big toe will be against the plastic. In my case, because my big toe was very painful, my first use was painful. Then I came up with a way to arrange it so that there was some excess plastic in the front of the toe to make it less heavy.
