This wireless dongle will make Apple Car Play available on my car infotainment screen. It was about 20 minutes to get it up and running. For some reason my iPhone was not finding the wireless dongle under Bluetooth settings in the phone. After about 15 minutes of trying different things, I got a hardware error message on the car infotainment screen. I turned off the car accessory power. When I turned the car accessory power back on, I immediately had a pairing request on my phone. So, the wireless Car Play dongle got paired. It has been working great ever since. It is wonderful not to have to connect a cable between my phone and the car's USB to have Apple Car Play on my car's infotainment screen. It will play the audio from the last radio station app I was using on the phone. I can also change which app I want to use right on the car's infotainment screen.

I was skeptical about this device but was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. The setup was easy. It found that I was connecting to my 2021 Mercedes C300 and was seamless from there forward. The connection takes about 20 seconds when I start the car. Much better than plugging in the USB each time, I would highly recommend it.

Unlike some reviews I've seen, this device paired with my iPhone within seconds. I was also able to update the firmware quickly by connecting to the device via Wi-Fi. Once paired, it only takes less than 30 seconds to pair again each time you start the vehicle. Something to be aware of is having to reorganize your CarPlay icons on the screen. This will be a separate device under the CarPlay settings. I can only see one issue down the road and that is the consistency of firmware updates as this device ages. I guess only time will tell. Overall, I highly recommend this device for anyone looking to unplug.

Followed the instructions: plugged it in to the USB outlet on the back of the head unit, connected it to my iPhone via bluetooth, and it worked perfectly. Connects automatically and fires up CarPlay every time. After testing it for a few days with no issues, I mounted put it in the dash back by the wiring on the back of the head unit. Completely hidden and works perfect. There is a slight lag due to the nature of how it works, but barely noticeable. Very happy with it and I'll report back if I have any issues.

The product worked like advertised. It paired easily with the audio system in my wife's 2021 Subaru Forester, and works just like the usb version of CarPlay, only my wife can leave her phone in her purse. I had a concern whether it would run the battery down on the car if the USB port didn't power down when the car was shut off. I emailed the company asking the question and they got back to me within a few hours saying that the draw was negligible even if the port stayed energized. As it turns out, the USB port on the car powers down after a few minutes once you turn the car off and exit. I even sync'd my iPhone with it and the system still worked. This is what car manufacturers should be installing in their audio systems. Very happy with it.
