This is my first router. I only work on wood projects on occasion and only need a light router to be able to make dados and rabbets on shelving projects. This router was amazingly comfortable to work with. It's light, just heavy enough to provide a good amount of weight to be able to stay close to the project. The grip is very ergonomic! I've only used it on a couple of projects, so I hope that it's built to last!

This little machine is perfect for detail work where a full-size router would be cumbersome. As a retired professional woodworker, now with an extensive home shop, I can say that I am more than satisfied with this router, and find its small size very convenient. As with any tool, powered or not, you would not try to do work for which it is unsuited, meaning larger cuts that call for a full-size router with full-size power. But, even if you are using a moderate sized edge trimming bit, making multiple passes without overloading the motor gives excellent results. It handles a Quirk beading bit, for example, with no problem.

This is a great tool for anyone that needs a router or for anyone who has a router and wants to down size the shop. You no longer have to use large heavy routers for the small jobs this is a great router small and well make. The motor is stronger then it looks, and cuts all wood very well. It also holds bit firmly in place with the right bits it will almost replace the bigger routers in most peoples shops. I have cut everything from cove's, slots, flush trimming, round overs, ogee's. I could not find a flaw with this router. I would like a plunge base for the router to make it even better. But as it is you can't go wrong. Only down side the router is cute it would be nice in a mini router table. By the way with the money saved by buy this router you can buy really nice bits!

I purchased A Bosch PR20EVSK Colt Palm Grip 5.6 Amp 1-Horsepower Fixed-Base Variable-Speed Router with Edge Guide through Amazon. As usual, it arrived promptly and in good order. I can't say enough good things about this router. I wanted to use this platform to recommend an addition to this router. I have written to Bosch about this several months ago but have seen nothing advertised nor received a response. "This router needs a plunge base." Bosch's engineering could come up with a high quality plunge to fit the Colt Router. This small router with a plunge base would be excellent for doing inlay work, stringing, and detail work that some advanced woodworkers use in their projects. It would also encourage novice woodworkers to advance their skills in inlay work. I haven't attacked building musical instruments yet but it may be an assett to luthiers. I ask anyone that thinks this is a feasible and worthy addition to this router to contact Bosch or campaign on your own platform such as WW Clubs, magazines that you subscribe to, and online WW Magazines. I have no monetary interest in this; I would just like to have a Colt Plunge Router in my shop router collection. I believe Amazon could sell one to most every woodworker that owns a Colt and sell 1000s of combo kits. Lane Hall

The smaller sized router works great! My regular one is just too big for my hands (a woman with smaller hands) - I always have to let go of one of the handles to reach the cutoff switch. This new one is light and easy to use. It came with 2 wrenches - one for the collet and one to use to tighten the clamp that holds the unit. I didn't have any problems changing bits. It would be nice if it had a clear base. Otherwise, I am happy with this purchase.

I love using this router. It is the first trim router I've owned, and it has completely changed the way I work and plan projects. With a larger router I always avoided handheld work because it felt clumsy. This router is easily maneuvered one-handed, and the variable speed allows me to slow down the rpm to make it a much quieter tool. The single-wrench and shaft-locking button makes it easier to change bits, and is a wonderful improvement over two-wrench collets.

I love this router! It has the power to do the work you typically will do with a router held in your hands, rather than in a table. It is light, solid and easily maneuverable. I expected this router to be the lightweight in my collection, suitable only for really small jobs, but am now pleasantly surprised to see it can do so much more. It's big brothers have their place, but that is most likely fixed to the router table. For darn near everything else this is my clear favorite.

I got this to replace my ancient, venerable, and bulky Black and Decker from the '80's. The Colt is a small, lightweight, maneuverable little tool, that goes through Maple like paper. I have only had it for a few weeks, but I'm already planning new projects to use it for. Nice, powerful, and seems to be well made. Can you tell I like it?

I have used the trim router and love it. Its small size is great for using on face frames of cabinets and other tight places. I have not used all the attachments, but I bought the whole kit in case I need them. Love the soft start feature, variable speed, and the spindle lock. Only thing I would change is I would have liked to have a clear base in order to see better the work area.

I have used this router now for about 4 months. I was a little sceptical on spending the money for this kit since there are cheaper kits available. I was also a bit concerned about spending the money for this since my only purpose was to do some laminate trimming but I didn't want to use my much larger router for the delicate work. Well, I have not been disappointed with this machine and its attachments.
